NOTES: | First discovered in 1928 in Berlin, Nevada, USA. The bones from this animal were first discovered by miners. The miners that stumbled onto the bones were using the vertebrae as dinner plates. The Shonisaurus diet consisted mainly of fish and cephalopods. This animal had four powerful flippers with a dorsal fin and tail that resembled that of the modern day dolphin. |
